1. Agreement

These terms are between you (or the business you represent) and POS Pilot, which is operated from Pakistan. By downloading, installing or using the POS Pilot application, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.

If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use POS Pilot to run your own business, for as long as you comply with these terms.

You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute the software, present it as your own product, or attempt to decompile or reverse-engineer it except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

3. Your account

POS Pilot can be used without an account. Creating one enables synchronisation, staff logins and paid plans.

  • Give accurate registration details and keep them current.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account and under any staff logins you create.
  • Tell us promptly at support@pospilot.co if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Plans and limits

POS Pilot is offered on a Free plan and two paid plans, Plus and Pro. What each includes is set out on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

Paid plans carry numeric allowances — products, customers, employees, branches and so on. Reaching an allowance limits further additions of that kind; it does not stop the app working, and it does not delete anything you have already entered.

We may change what is in each plan. If a change removes something material from a plan you are paying for, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

5. Billing and renewal

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Paddle collects payment, handles applicable taxes, and issues your receipt. Their terms apply to the payment transaction itself. We never receive your card details.

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and are stated on the pricing page. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you are.
  • A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, as chosen — until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep your paid features until that period ends.
  • If a payment fails, we allow a short grace period during which your plan continues to work before it reverts to Free.
  • If we change our prices, existing subscribers will be told by email before the change applies to their renewal.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window on paid plans. The full conditions are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use POS Pilot to:

  • break any law that applies to you or your business, including tax and record-keeping obligations;
  • store or process data you have no right to hold, including other people's personal information obtained unlawfully;
  • attempt to gain access to another shop's data, or to any part of our systems you have not been granted access to;
  • interfere with the service, or place a load on it designed to disrupt it for others.

You are responsible for meeting your own legal obligations. POS Pilot produces receipts, reports and records, but it is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and using it does not by itself make your business compliant with anything.

8. Your data

Your business records remain yours. We claim no ownership of the products, sales, customers or any other data you enter. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Backup and export are available on every plan, including Free. Because POS Pilot stores your data on your own computer, keeping your own backups is both possible and your responsibility — we strongly recommend taking them regularly.

9. No warranty

POS Pilot is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will meet your particular requirements, or that any defect will be corrected. Synchronisation depends on services and connections outside our control.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, nor for lost profits, lost sales, lost goodwill or lost or corrupted data, however caused.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to POS Pilot is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you are on the Free plan, that amount is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using POS Pilot at any time, and may ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms — in particular section 7 — or where we are required to by law. Except where a serious breach or a legal requirement makes it impossible, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right first.

If your account ends, the copy of your data on your own computer is unaffected. Export it before asking us to delete anything.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. For material changes we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use POS Pilot after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of POS Pilot.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
